1,661 Seconds with Del Shannon is the sixth studio album by American rock and roll singer-songwriter Del Shannon[1], released in April 1965 by Amy Records[1]. His final album for the label, it features the singles "Do You Want to Dance", "Keep Searchin' (We'll Follow the Sun)", and "Stranger in Town".

The album was released on compact disc for the first time by Taragon Records on January 14, 1997 as tracks 13 through 24 on a pairing of two albums on one CD with tracks 1 through 12 consisting of the other album being Shannon's Debut Studio album from June 1961, Runaway with Del Shannon[2] it was also released as one of two albums on one CD by Beat Goes On on September 16, 1998, the other being a Shannon's 5th album from February 1965, Del Shannon Sings Hank Williams.[3]

Edsel Records included this CD in a box set entitled Stranger in Town: A Del Shannon Compendium, which contains 14th of his studio albums and three compilation and was released on February 24, 2023.[4]
