The historic 1933 South Carolina Gamecocks football team represented the University of South Carolina as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) during the 1933 college football season. Led by sixth-year head coach Billy Laval, the Gamecocks compiled an overall record of 6–3–1 with a mark of 3–0 in conference play, placing in the SoCon. Duke, with a 4–0 conference record was declared the SoCon champion.[1] Earl Clary and Buddy Morehead were the team captains. This was the last season in which South Carolina played their home games at Melton Field.
