The 1942 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Nebraska in the Big Six Conference during the 1942 college football season. In its first season under head coach Glenn Presnell, the team compiled a 3–7 record (3–2 against conference opponents), finished third in the Big Six, and was outscored by a total of 158 to 55.[1]

Nebraska was ranked at No. 102 (out of 590 college and military teams) in the final rankings under the Litkenhous Difference by Score System for 1942.[2]

The team played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska.
