The 1942 Penn State Nittany Lions football team represented the Pennsylvania State College in the 1942 college football season.[1] The team was coached by Bob Higgins.

Penn State was ranked at No. 68 (out of 590 college and military teams) in the final rankings under the Litkenhous Difference by Score System for 1942.[2]

The team played its home games in New Beaver Field in State College, Pennsylvania.
