The 1942 Southwestern Louisiana Bulldogs football team was an American football team that represented the Southwestern Louisiana Institute of Liberal and Technical Learning (now known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in the Louisiana Intercollegiate Conference during the 1942 college football season. In their first year under head coach Louis Whitman, the team compiled a 3–4 record.[1][2]
Southwestern Louisiana was ranked at No. 153 (out of 590 college and military teams) in the final rankings under the Litkenhous Difference by Score System for 1942.[3]
