On May 17, 1948, a Philippine Air Lines DC-3 was flying a scheduled domestic flight when shortly after taking off from Lahug Airport, Cebu, the aircraft stalled while climbing and crashed in a field.[1]
The aircraft was destroyed, however all 17 passengers and crew survived with injuries.[2]
