The 1961 Buffalo Bulls football team was an American football team that represented the University of Buffalo as an independent during the 1961 college football season. In their seventh season under head coach Dick Offenhamer, the Bulls compiled a 4–5 record and were outscored by a total of 163 to 136.[1] The team played home games at Rotary Field in Buffalo, New York.

Quarterback John Stofa broke Buffalo's single-season record for total offense with 807 passing yards and 92 rushing yards for a total of 899 yards in total offense.
