The 1962 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 75th All-Ireland Final and the deciding match of the 1962 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland.
This marked the first occasion on which the final was televised.[1]
Wicklow GAA is mourning the passing of Eamonn 'Fitch' Moules who had the proud record of refereeing the first televised All-Ireland senior football final in which Kerry defeat[sic] Roscommon by 1–12 to 1–6 in 1962. Aged 97 on Tuesday, Eamonn passed away this week. He was a household name in Wicklow GAA circles, when he refereed both the 1962 and 1963 All-Ireland football finals. In 1963 Moules was in charge of the final which saw Dublin defeat Galway by 1–9 to 0–10.
