The 1992 Esso RAC British Touring Car Championship season was the 35th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. The drivers championship was won by British driver Tim Harvey in an BMW 318iS following a dramatic final race of the season. The manufacturers championship won by Vauxhall, and the TOCA Challenge Cup for Privateers was won by British driver James Kaye in a Toyota Carina.
