The 1997 Summer Deaflympics (Danish: 1997 Sommer Deaflympics), officially known as the 18th Summer Deaflympics (Danish: 18. Sommer Deaflympics), was an international multi-sport event that was celebrated from 13 July to 26 July 1997 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 18th Summer Deaflympics Games were originally scheduled to be held from 20 September to 1 October 1996 in Atlanta, but was decided to host it in 1997 due to the schedule of 1996 Summer Olympics.
