In 2019, the Stormers participated in the 2019 Super Rugby competition, the 24th edition of the competition since its inception in 1996. They were included in the South African Conference of the competition, along with the Bulls, Jaguares, Lions and Sharks.
The Stormers won seven, drew one and lost eight of their matches during the regular season of the competition to finish fifth in the South African Conference, and in 10th place overall.
