The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is a football tournament taking place in July and August 2023 involving 32 women's national teams from nations affiliated to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). The tournament is being broadcast all over the world.
The 2023 Women's World Cup was the first Women's World Cup to have its broadcasting rights sold as a standalone product rather than being packaged as a bonus of purchasing broadcasting rights for the Men's World Cup. FIFA stated that it saw "huge interest" in the separate bidding process and hoped for more regional partners to sign on. FIFA set an aim to reach a global audience of 2 billion, up from 1.12 billion at the previous edition in France.[1]
