The 2024 United States Senate election in Texas will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Texas. Republican incumbent Ted Cruz is seeking a third term.[1] He is being challenged by Democratic congressman Colin Allred.

Original polling showed Cruz as a clear favorite, but more recent polls have shown a closer race.[2][3] If elected, Allred will be the first Democrat to win a Senate race in Texas since 1988 and the first Democrat to win a statewide election in Texas since 1994, as well as the first Black senator to represent Texas.[2]
