5244 Amphilochos /æmˈfɪləkəs/ is a mid-sized Jupiter trojan from the Greek camp, approximately 36 kilometers (22 miles) in diameter. It was discovered at the Palomar Observatory during the second Palomar–Leiden Trojan survey in 1973, and was later named after the seer Amphilochus from Greek mythology.[1] The dark Jovian asteroid is likely elongated in shape and has a rotation period of 7.8 hours.[8]
