The A6 motorway (Romanian: Autostrada A6) is a partially built motorway in Romania, planned to connect Bucharest with the Banat region, through the southern part of the country.[1] It will follow the route: Craiova, Calafat, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Lugoj, connecting with the A1 motorway near Balinț.[2] The section between Balinț and Calafat, where it will provide access to the New Europe Bridge,[3] is part of the southern branch of the Pan-European Corridor IV.[4]
Autostrada Craiova – Pitesti va face legatura dintre Autostrada de Sud București-Craiova-Calafat-Drobeta Turnu Severin-Lugoj (A6) si Autostrada Bucuresti – Pitesti – Sibiu – Orastie – Deva – Lugoj – Timișoara – Arad – Nadlac (A1).
