AFL Northern Territory is the governing body for Australian rules football in the Northern Territory of Australia. It supervises multiple leagues, but is mainly concerned with the co-ordination of the Northern Territory Football League.
In 2001, the NTFL board, which had overseen the game in the NT since 1917, was restructured and reformed by the AFL Commission in Melbourne and the major competitions formally officially affiliated with the Australian Football League.[1]
