Abasa (also spelled: Abbasa, Abbaso) (Somali: Abaaso) is an ancient town in the northwestern Awdal region of Somaliland.[1][2][3] In ancient times it served as the capital of both Queen Kola's Kingdom[4] and Kingdom of Adal.[5]
