Aisling O'Neill is an Irish actress. She has portrayed Carol Foley in Fair City for more than two decades.[1][2]
O'Neill's portrayal of Carol earns her personal letters of admiration and bought her an IFTA nomination for Best Female Performance in a Soap or Comedy.[3]
Originally from Dublin, O'Neill lives in Gorey, County Wexford. She is a mother of one.[4]
Aisling O'Neill has played feisty Carol Foley on RTÉ's Fair City for the past 19 years, but her biggest acting challenge is still ahead of her.
The actress is currently living in Gorey, Co. Wexford... 'It's a beautiful spot. I'm ten minutes from the beach and an hour from Dublin. I have good friends there and it's a great place to raise my child. I like spending time with friends and I like spending time in nature – I actually need to spend time in nature. I like horse-riding, walking on the beach and I swim in the sea sometimes.' However Aisling admits that she will always be a city girl at heart. 'I'm a Dublin girl, always will be'.
