Akanthou (Greek: Ακανθού, pronounced [a̠ka̠nˈθu]; Turkish: Tatlısu) is a village on the northern coast of Cyprus. It is under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus. As of 2011[update], it had a population of 1,459.
