Akuto (悪党, Akutō, lit. "Villain"[a]), U.S. title Conquest,[4] is a 1965 Japanese jidaigeki and drama film written and directed by Kaneto Shindō.[1][2] It is based on the play Kaoyo by Jun'ichirō Tanizaki.[5]
