The Al-Badr (Bengali: আল-বদর, romanizedAl-Bodor; Urdu: البدر; lit.'Full moon') was a collaborationist paramilitary force composed mainly of Bihari Muslims, which operated in East Pakistan against the Bengali nationalist movement during the Bangladesh War of Independence, under the patronage of the Government of Pakistan.[1][2]
