Alcanede is a civil parish in the municipality of Santarém, Portugal, in the district of the same name, of the Ribatejo. The population in 2011 was 4,547,[1] in an area of 105.84 km2.[2] Between 1163 and 1855 it was a municipal seat (with a population of 6408 inhabitants in 1801).
