Formerly called the Corel Corporation (/kəˈrɛl/ kə-REL;[3] from the abbreviation "Cowpland Research Laboratory"), the company is known for producing software titles such as CorelDRAW, and for acquiring AfterShot Pro, PaintShop Pro, Painter, Video Studio and WordPerfect.
