In astronomy, angular diameter distance is a distance defined in terms of an object's physical size, ${\displaystyle x}$, and its angular size, ${\displaystyle \theta }$, as viewed from Earth: $${\displaystyle d_{A}={\frac {x}{\theta }}}$$
