Apsheronsky District (Russian: Апшеро́нский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Apsheronsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 2,443.2 square kilometers (943.3 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Apsheronsk.[1] Population: 98,685 (2021 Census);[6] 98,891 (2010 Census);[2] 95,048 (2002 Census);[7] 86,059 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Apsheronsk accounts for 40.7% of the district's total population.[2]
