Aroania (Greek: Αροάνια) (also known as "Sopoto") is a village and a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Kalavryta, of which it is a municipal unit.[2] The municipal unit has an area of 173.804 km2.[3] The seat of administration was in the town of Psofida. The municipality is named after the village and the mountain.
