Auliekol (Kazakh: Әулиекөл) is a lake in the Ekibastuz City Administration, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan.[1] It lies 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) to the southeast of Karazhar village, 50 kilometers (31 mi) northwest of Ekibastuz and 120 kilometers (75 mi) to the west of Pavlodar. The name "Auliekol" means holy lake in Kazakh.[2][3][4]
Auliekol lakeshore includes one of the important archaeological sites of the region. There are the ruins of an ancient settlement with the remains of a hillfort close to the Olenti river mouth by the western shore of the lake.[5][6]
