Bad Toys 3D is a first-person shooter similar to Wolfenstein 3D released by Czech developer Tibo Software in 1998. It is a colourized re-issue of the earlier Bad Toys from 1995, which was only black-and-white but featured a three level demo. Both are unique as first-person shooters developed for Windows 3.1 using WinG,[1][2] along with ports Nitemare 3D and Doom. The game involves a toy factory being purchased by a military contractor, with the toys then turning sinister.[3] The registered version features twenty five levels, five enemies, and four weapons.[4] As noted by PC Gamer, as of November 2023 the game's registration keys are still available to purchase from the Tibo Software website.[5] The game received a mixed review from the Ultimate Console Database,[6] and a positive one from Robinson's Special Games Service.[7] The game was included on the cover disc of the 33rd issue of the Czech magazine Score from September 1996,[8][9] as well as the 300 Arcade Games compilation by Cosmi Corporation in 2000.[10] A fan made sequel made in GameMaker, The Other Mission, was released in 2023.[11]
