Bahman Golbarnezhad[2] (Persian: بهمن گلبارنژاد, 12 June 1968[3] – 17 September 2016) was an Iranian Paralympic racing cyclist competing in C4 classification events and an earlier powerlifter. During his powerlifting career, he won twelve gold medals and one silver medal in international competitions.[4] Golbarnezhad had represented Iran in two Summer Paralympic Games, first in 2012 in London and later in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. He was the only Iranian cyclist at the 2016 Paralympics.[5] He was a veteran of the Iran–Iraq war.[6]
