Bailieborough or Bailieboro (/ˈbeɪlibərə/; Irish: Coill an Chollaigh, meaning 'the wood of the boar')[2] is a town and civil parish in County Cavan, Ireland. As of the 2022 census, the population was 2,974,[1] up from 1,529 as of the 1996 census.[3] Bailieborough's proximity to the N3 national road has made it a commuter town.[4]
