The Banu Thabit or Banu 'Ammar[1][2] were a Berber dynasty that ruled Tripoli in present-day Libya during the 14th century.[3][4] The dynasty's founder, Thabit ibn 'Ammar, was a member of the Zakūğa tribe from the Huwwara tribal confederation.[1][2][a]
