The Beauceron (French pronunciation: [bosʁɔ̃] ) is a herding dog breed originating from the plains of Central France. The Beauceron is also known as Berger de Beauce (French pronunciation: [bɛʁʒe də bos], sheepdog from Beauce) or Bas Rouge (French pronunciation: [ba ʁuʒ], red-stockings).
