Belmont is a town in Pleasants County, West Virginia, United States. It is part of the Parkersburg–Vienna metropolitan area. The population was 872 at the 2020 census.[3] Belmont was incorporated on April 19, 1946, by the Circuit Court of Pleasants County. The city was named for the beautiful hills (beau mont) in the area.[5]
