Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (BIT, Mesra) is a government funded technical institute (GFTI)[3] situated at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.[4] It was declared as a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act.[5] The institute was included under Section 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, in November 2023.[6]
