Blacks and Whites' Carnival (Spanish: Carnaval de Negros y Blancos), is a Carnival public festival and parade in southern Colombia established in 1546. Although its geographical location belongs to the city of Pasto, it has been adopted by other municipalities in Nariño and southwestern Colombia.[1] It is celebrated every year in 2–7 January and attracts a considerable number of Colombian and foreign tourists.
On 30 September 2009, UNESCO named this Carnival among the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.[2]
