Robert Watson "Bob" Ferguson (born February 23, 1965) is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the 18th attorney general of Washington since 2013. He is the governor-elect of Washington, and is a member of the Democratic Party. In addition, he served as a member of the King County Council from 2004 to 2013 and the council's chair from 2009 to 2013.
Ferguson was elected governor of Washington in 2024, defeating Republican nominee Dave Reichert.[1][2] He is expected to assume office in January 2025 to succeed outgoing governor Jay Inslee.
