Leonard Bryan Bautista Revilla, better known as Bryan Revilla is a Filipino politician and the nominee of Agimat Partylist for the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He is also the son of senator Bong Revilla.
On November 22, 1986, Bryan Revilla was born in the city of Bacoor, Cavite, to Senator Bong Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Mercado. He has five siblings, including Congressman Jolo Revilla and board member Ramon Vicente Revilla.[1] In the 2022 Philippine House of Representatives elections, he was a nominee for the Agimat Partylist.[2] Agimat eventually won one seat, which was given to him.[citation needed] In his tenure as representative, he principally authored 240 bills and co-authored 66 bills.[3] Revilla supports the labor industry, the health industry, and the economic industry.[4] He is part of multiple committees,[3] including:
Revilla has been a victim of food poisoning multiple times, stating that he was "in and out of the hospital" in 2023. He recalled beginning to suffer from a fever while travelling to Manila. His blood was examined by doctors, who found a high level of white blood cells.[5] On June 24, 2023, Revilla's car caught on fire on Manila's EDSA highway. Nobody was injured, but the fire caused traffic on the highway. Although the event was unexpected by Revilla, he recognized and apologized for the inconvenience that the incident caused, adding that he was "saddened" by the event. He also stated that it was a "reminder to my fellow drivers and enthusiasts to regularly have cars checked for road-worthiness, be vigilant while driving and be responsible road users".[6][7]
