Bryant Creek State Park is one of three new Missouri state parks announced in 2016. The 2,917-acre (1,180 ha) property is located along Bryant Creek in south central Douglas County, 22 miles (35 km) southeast of Ava in the Ozarks of southern Missouri.[3] The park is open as of September 2022. There are currently two hiking trails offering 5.1 miles of trail with plans to expand the trail system in the future. [4]
The park will include about two miles of the meandering channel of Bryant Creek and the dolomite and sandstone bluffs along the river. The park includes oak and pine forested land adjacent to the river. The park will provide trails for hiking and areas for camping, picnicking and nature study.[3][5]
