Burgess E. Scruggs (October 16, 1860 – January 21, 1934)[1] was an American physician, alderman, and civic leader in Huntsville, Alabama.[2][3][4] He was one of Alabama's first African American doctors, and the first in Huntsville. He served four terms on Huntsville's city council.[4]
