Cacilhas (European Portuguese: [kɐˈsiʎɐʃ]) is a former civil parish in the municipality of Almada, Lisbon metropolitan area, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Almada, Cova da Piedade, Pragal e Cacilhas.[1] The population in 2011 was 6,017,[2] in an area of 1.09 km2.[3] Cacilhas is situated on the south bank of the river Tagus facing the city of Lisbon.
