Cairo /ˈkɛəroʊ/ is a town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 6,644 at the 2020 census. It is the third largest town in the county.[3][4] The town is in the southern part of the county, partly in the Catskill Park. The town contains a hamlet, also named Cairo.
