Capital Medical University (CCMU; 首都医科大学) is a municipal public university in Beijing, China. It is affiliated with the City of Beijing, and co-funded by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the National Health Commission, and the Ministry of Education.
The university was founded in 1960 as the Beijing Second Medical College.[2]
The school currently has 15,187 full-time students, including 6,699 postgraduates, 6,945 undergraduates, 884 vocational students, 659 international students, and 2,500 adult students. The school and its affiliated hospitals currently have 6,651 teachers, including 5 academicians; 1,020 professors, 1,627 associate professors; 1,115 doctoral supervisors, and 1,511 master supervisors.
