Carhaix-Plouguer (French: [kaʁɛ pluɡɛʁ, kaʁe -]; Breton: Karaez-Plougêr [kaˈrɛːs ˈpluːɡɛːr]), commonly known as just Carhaix (Karaez), is a commune in the French department of Finistère, region of Brittany, France.[3] The commune was created in 1957 by the merger of the former communes Carhaix and Plouguer.[3]
