Carl David DeMaio[1] (born September 14, 1974) is an American politician from San Diego, California and a California State Assemblymember-Elect assuming office on December 2, 2024 following the November 2024 election. A member of the Republican Party, DeMaio will represent the 75th State Assembly District, encompassing North and East San Diego County.[2] DeMaio is also chairman of Reform California, a statewide grassroots conservative political organization,[3][4] and hosts the podcast "Reform California with Carl DeMaio" weekdays at 5pm on YouTube and other streaming services.[5]

DeMaio previously served a single term as a member of the San Diego City Council, representing District 5 from 2008 to 2012.
