The nationality associated with a bridge player may be ambiguous because it may have changed over time and may refer to:

• country of birth
• country or countries of current or former citizenship
• country or countries of current or former residence
• a country's representative in international play

Accordingly, a player may be associated with more than one nationality.

Players associated with England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland may also be referred to as from the United Kingdom or as British, as is the case here.
