Category:Nebraska state senators

From 1867 to 1934, the Nebraska State Senate existed separately from the Nebraska House of Representatives. In 1934, a state constitutional amendment made the Nebraska Legislature unicameral. The first elections for the unicameral legislature were then held in 1936, and the unicameral first met in 1937. Since 1937, members of the Nebraska Legislature have been called "Nebraska State Senators." Thus, this category includes members of the upper chamber of Nebraska's old bicameral legislature, the Nebraska State Senate, from 1867 to 1936 and also members of the Nebraska Legislature (the "Unicameral") since 1937.
