Chachersk (Belarusian: Чачэрск, romanized: Čačersk,[a] IPA: [tʂaˈtʂɛrsk]; Russian: Чечерск, romanized: Chechersk; Polish: Czeczersk) is a town in Gomel Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Chachersk District.[1] As of 2024, it has a population of 8,927.[1]
It is located in an area which was highly contaminated due to the fallout of the Chernobyl disaster.[2]
