Charlton is a town in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The population was 4,328 at the 2020 census.[4] The town is named after a notable physician.[citation needed]

The Town of Charlton is located in the southwestern part of the county and is north of Schenectady. The town is home to the Charlton Historic District, which is home to many historic buildings.
