Chen Biao (c.204 - c.237[a]), courtesy name Wen'ao, was an official and military general of the state of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period of China.

  1. ^ According to Sun Deng's biography in Sanguozhi, Chen Biao was made Commandant of the Central Flank when Sun Quan crowned himself emperor in 229. The other three close confidants of Sun Deng (Zhuge Ke, Gu Tan and Zhang Xiu) also received promotions at the same time. Sanguozhi vol. 59.
  2. ^ According to Sun Deng's biography in Sanguozhi, Chen Biao and others were made Zhongshuzi to the Crown Prince upon Zhang Wen's suggestion to Sun Quan. This took place in 221, while Sun Quan was still King of Wu. Sanguozhi vol. 59.
