The Chlotrudis Award for Best Actress is an annual award presented by the Chlotrudis Society for Independent Films, a non-profit organization, founded in 1994, that recognizes achievements in independent and world cinema. The awards were first presented in 1995, and were named after founder Michael Colford and his boyfriend Trent's two cats, Chloe and Gertrudis.[1]
